Walking the old road tonight
The one where cars pass you by
But I’m... fine
It’s right where I want to be

The moon tries to comfort me
Dancing slowly through the trees
But I’m... fine
It’s not what I have in mind

The rain appears, to commandeer
And wash away emotion
But I... remain dry
Some things are better left inside

Although the cold winds blow
And I know I should feel alone
They embrace me... harmony
And strangely keep me company

Come falling leaves, to take my grieves
And put to pass, the usual farce
Better off aside, my words... may be
Distilled emotion to comfort thee

A bridge approaches, but doubt encroaches
I turn back, in hope to start again
And I know... I’ll be... fine
If for once the road leads home tonight...

This is beautiful. A reflective little journey with a taste of hope. Well done.

there is a deep melancholic contemplation behind your words..like trying to walk away from yourself.
