Off Sick (Boat!)

Written down and off as sick
Feel like a prick
In more ways than one

How did this get done?
Been sailing boats on pirate seas
Until all was lost
Stupid fucking me.

Could blame you all or look at me
Magic mirrors shattered into years of bad luck
Or maybe I am just stuck

On desert islands of indecision
Where doubt is the only crop
Pondering all the journeys that could be taken
From here

It’s time to set the sails
And name my destination
But this isolated place has become a home
Of sorts

Yet my soul tells me there is more
Love, joy, peace and feasts to behold
If I would just simply set sail
So avast! I must
Soon you and I will simply be dust

So let’s dance disgracefully into the dawn
Each day that is new, let us be reborn.
Into hope, gratitude, no longer forlorn
Beyond the self-loathing there is maybe a place
That we can call home.
