The Boys No Good

Man-whore she said
She’s probably right
But I gave up listening to friends a long time ago
He doesn’t even know..

That a glimpse of knee-cap skin
Is enough to make me swim
For hours on a sea of fantasy.

The boy's no good
Oh! but I would.
Time and time again.

But I won’t make a move
It could only ever prove
To be a bad idea.

The dream is enough
Cotton clouds of powder-puff
Perfection.

Without the complication of a real relationship
Hopes a mile high
And the inevitability of a lie

Somewhere down the line.
