The sky looked on, as bruised as my spirit
The sea was boiling with my own fury
The starlings danced in perfection once known
I feel the loss
I feel the loss
Of your mind and mine
Lost in waves of wine
Both drowning with hands raised to forgotten heavens
We twist in the deeps, I yearn to let go
Of your dead weight
Know that I won’t
Can’t
Entwined from the womb
Swimming in the same blood
I look out for our shore
Sure that there is more
Love
Peace
And waters calm

perfection within that last line... well-crafted work, and a beautiful, resonating pic to round the experience... Thank you for a great read!

Absolutely wonderful! I especially love your line about both drowning with hands raised to forgotten heavens. That's a really powerful line.
