holiday

A friend in fair Verona plays today
While I in Cattollica stay
Gazing at the clouds and the crowds
As they pass me by
My mind blank o sweet release
From the endless homeland train
Of thoughts and emotional swirls
Instead cappuccino's and ice-cream
Smeared on faces of boys and of girls

This holiday is almost done
Almost as soon as it has begun
The Adriatic has bathed me
Cleansed my both heart and my mind
I return reluctant to the grind

sometime in 2005

i love the wash of far away.ness in this; of sought isolationism. .. of melancholic thoughtfulness. ..matches the grey-blues of the imagery. ..your artwork is always so open.
