Chatham Poem no1
Why baths are far superior to showers...
In a bath you take the time to clean between your toes
In a shower everything is rushed and quick
In bath one can linger, sipping at a glass, with the radio for company
In a shower you have to sing too loud
In a bath your fingers and toes go all wrinkly
In a shower the routine is always the same
In a bath with a lover, languid conversation and sensuality ensues
In a shower with a lover, its usually all over way too fast
In a bath you let go of your day
Unwind your thoughts
Stroke your own skin
Breathe under bubbles
Until you hear the sea
