Majoun visions of cold
Fog sacrament night burden
Blessing of herb and spice
Breathe smoke from paper
Twist and brown of earth
Swamp road railroad ghosts
Calling me gently
South

House of snakes
Floating light city bourbon
Heart beating thrill
Neon arterial tracery of
Vieux Carré ‘neath saints
White fingerbone church bell
Mother
Birthing green fire dreams

Saddle midnight ghost
Road ravel mystery knot
Not
But a haunted seething
Wonder why
Why waiting endless
Waiting crime of doing
Complacent sneer at doing

And why begrudge
Lonely road her traveling sons
Black coffee contempt
Mirror shade magnum revolver
Vulture culture paper doll
Servant hungry eager
Poets tea t t t traveling
I want no room of stone

Just long road and running water

So’s we can keep the bad spirits away

I thought about it more and I like this. I hope the trip proves as wonderful as we deserve... despite the rancid rank rumbling majoun.

Yar, I've been a couple of times, though it's been several since the last. Limes and myself are going down next week for my birthday. This is the beginning of a series I hope to write about and around the trip. Maybe I'll be able to share more of it here.
