Your eyes wandered down
a path of freckled skin and
bony crevices that promised to
forgive and forget those
stupid mistakes me made
along the way.

Sometimes I think I wanted
a little more than the feeling
of warm skin next to mine;
I wanted your tongue to penetrate
my lips and run along my teeth,
so I could feel the reality of
your body being more than flesh.

I wanted this to mean something
more than a those briefs
moments of happiness
that we silently worshiped.

yeah, it means something. it's kind of captivating in a longing and retrospective sort of way. like a million things we felt but never said.
