Vast scenes scatter the landscape
Alone and exposed
With only my fear of the end
Everything I held close
Seemingly slipped through my fingers
Like raining sand fallen
Lost forever
Scattered to oblivion
Where did my tragic mistake take place
Was it the way I whispered into your ear
Was it the way my hands felt
Upon your skin as I held you in the night
Was it the way I looked into your eyes
And wished the moment could last forever
It doesn’t matter
Now that we’re apart
It feels so cold
Where your touch
Once gave me warmth
I know in time that will fade
Along with your image
And scent of your hair
I’ll think of you from time to time
And always welcome you
Even if it’s just a dream
And I’ll always love you
Even though you can’t love me
