I want to see the truth, waiting for the sun.
Empires are crumbling; things never vary.
In what universe does my world belong:
Trying to live again with this bundle I carry.

I just want to be warm,
whole.
Give me life once more.

Capture all of the sounds and the voices,
Striving for air, breathing for strife.
Whatever happened to having choices?
The back has been exposed to the knife.

I just want to be warm,
whole.
Give me life once more.

Bring the beat back.
Bring the beat back.
Bring the beat back again.
Bring the beat back.
Bring the beat back.
Make my heart beat again!

I just want to be warm and whole.
Tell me all your treasures and secrets.
What do YOU cherish, so I may take it?
Give me life once more!

Don't you know how to be whole?
Let's go back to where we started.
Clean the slate, wash the stone.
Maybe THEN we'll learn to be warm-hearted.
