I'm not trying to breathe and make it okay
I won't walk with anger,
I'll run with my pain.
I won't question why I burned at your stake
or why you ate my heart with malicious eagerness.
I'll wave good-bye
cry tears of sinful weeping;
I'll play this hello until the last act
and then I'll be your lady in waiting.
I'll dream in multi colour
begging to know why we are;
but fade at night in monochromatic insanity.
I know you know,
I know you see through smokey glasses
shrouded in the fog of your own breath,
that your teeth chatter with incest of the mind.
I know more than you think you see in me,
more than you can hear;
and my touch can be passion
love
beauty...
but my touch is also venom
poisonous like a serpent of black magic.
You don't see how I wake every day
how the sun fades from my eyes,
you don't feel this heart
how it seeps rotting blood onto the ground.
I won't fake an orgasmic interest for what we created
for life
for wonder;
I won't follow you every hour into despair
into the sewers of your mind.
I will however dance along my own path
leaving crimson track marks as I go;
I will however kill my dying dreams and lay them to sleep.
I will scream with the voice of a thousand broken hearts
letting the piercing winds of my throat echo through the forest.
I will lay down upon this tomb
rip my soul open,
let the starving wolves ravage what is inside.
If you cannot stand by and look with the eyes of misfortune,
if you cannot taste my blood
or love this putrid dark angel;
then I beg turn away.
