It's like a disease
and I'm trying to fight it.
Like the fractures spreading in my heart
I'm trying to fill the gaps
and I'm trying to block this out.
Everyday it seems
this sickness is lurking
making me shudder with disgust;
threatening to engulf my life once more.
I'm not praying for a saviour
no, Jesus Christ could never save me;
I'm not wishing on Venus
or hoping for salvation....
just something to make this go away.
