The sky cries,
And falls
Onto my childhood
Memories, broken
A piece for each star
My happiness, tried,
And tried to survive in those times,
But it became the rain
And fell to the ground
I remember the tears.
They were the sun, because
all day I would cry,
My happiness, in the ground
The playground laughed at me.
The ground welcomed me.
The sky did not break me
(though I wish it had)
Only my memories.
I would love to fly,
But the ground would only welcome me
once more
So here I sit
Drowning in a torrent of tears,
And years, wishing to fly
But the sun would melt my wings
And the ground would only
welcome me
once
