She holds me

She holds me
And when she does
I've never felt better
I've never felt stronger
And I've never felt more complete

I can only imagine
How it will feel
When it is no longer
At arms' length

.
.
.

The best things in life aren't free
No, far from it

In this case
The cost is time
And in this case
I don't know if i can afford it

The war will have it's way with me
And that's fine
I can afford the blood
The sweat
The tears

But the fight may just prove too much

I will try. I will give as much time as I can
Because so long as I have a chance
It is worth the effort
It is worth the wait

I will give all I have to her
...for her

Because she's worth it
She's worth far more thn that

The way she holds me is like nothing else
The way she looks at me
The way she holds my hand
And doubts my reality

I've never felt more alive
And I have never felt more fear
Than when I think I may see the end of my life

And never feel her hold me closer,
Never see her believe in the love I have for her
Never hear her say "I love you too"

But as terrified as I am
I will not give up.

I would give anything
Just for the chance
Just for the hope
I would give anything
Just for the opportunity to see her smile

The best thing in my life isn't free
She is worth more than time,
More than effort,
In fact, there is nothing I could give or do
That would ever make me deserve her

But there is nothing that could be done
To keep me from trying

Because she holds me
and every time she does
I wish time would freeze
So I could stay in her arms
And never have to worry about letteing go

And I know I love her
Because though I may never feel her hold me closer,
Though I may never see her believe in the love I have,
And though I may never hear her say "I love you too"

I will die a happy man
Because she holds me

Loved the idea of 'costing time'. Your right its all we've got. Make the most of her.
