I am walking alone across the gap of infinity,
Or, at least, it might as well be.
I hear you, I see you, and I love you,
And even infinity could not cease that.
We speak a language all to ourselves,
And sail the seas on dreamboats.
A thousand miles is nothing between you and I
And nothing is quite the walk, but I'll make it.
The sky smiled at me for once and told me
That mine wasn't the only head in the clouds.
We dream, and we wake in the wake
Of our own histories, soon to be shared.
I am hopeful, I know, but hope is everything
When it is all you have to go on.
I walk, and I walk, to find the world more colorful
When lit with your heart.
The tide took me in, and told me it would all be okay.
The moon did her part to see that I washed up on your shore.
My head is in the clouds, and that's fine.
Dreams have more room to grow in the sky.
As I walk this thousand mile path,
I know I made all the right turns.
Because infinity doesn't seem so far anymore.
