Was it all a lie?

I raise you up, you pull me down
And all day long we dance around
An endless waltz, conclusion would be sweet

I speak my thoughts, you scream your hate
I say my love, you try to sate
What conflict does, it ends in my defeat

If you say you love me so
Than why the hell do you need to go
To such lengths to drag my name through the dirt

Just bury it for all it’s worth
For your sake I regret my birth
For your sake I will bare this pain, this hurt

I tried to please you!

You’ve already burnt me down
So spread the ashes all around
And scatter them from hell into the stars

Leave me soon or love me now
You’ve told me off, no tell me how
To take this pain and leave it with the scars

Trapped in cages, free to roam
From wall to wall in your control
Just turn me loose and spare us both the pain

Or leave me here under your thumb
After all, you’ve made me numb
So how can it be my place to complain?

I tried to please you!

I tried to please you.

I tried to please you

This would make a very powerful song. I feel screaming at the end. Nicely done.
