I want to live like her in the clouds
and die like her in the sand.
I want to fall like her to the trees
and rest like her in the grass.

I want to to cry like her from the heavens.
I want to lick the cheeks of forgotten scarecrows
and sleep in their hay.

I want to flood rivers and enrich soil.
I want to make one flower grow
as I drown another.
I want to drench their leaves.

I want to be needed and dreaded
and thirsted for
and hated.

I want to be a cycle;
So constant.
So inevitable.

I want to be the romance falling from the sky
as lovers kiss hello and goodbye
and everything in between.
