liberally conservative
or conservatively liberal
it’s all just a game
of inequality

…and I am never wrong
unless I don’t believe like you

left wing, right wing
it’s all just another scheme
to have something on my neighbor
and make myself the better

…and you are never wrong
unless I don’t believe like you

daily wishes, offered up in public
acceptance, diversity, rightness
yet by the application of a label
we are giants, or mice, despised

…and we are never wrong
unless we don’t believe like you

Democrat or Republican
Christian, Muslim or Jew
words like gay and straight
should not apply to you

so why do you apply them to me?

…must be because I’m wrong
because I don’t believe like you

you…

who screams out against intolerance
all the while living a shining example
of the very reason it is wrong

Hate Hate

Love Love

*written by inspiration for all those confused enough to ask who I voted for, tried to tell me who to vote for, or are angry because of who I voted for, just because they do or don’t believe like me. I won’t abide by any other label than American, for that is where I was born. My pride lies in my home, my family, and my country. Whoever ends up in office, I’ll pray they do their best… not for me, not for you, but for US. And, if by any stretch of the imagination, you are afraid of what I’m free to believe, I encourage you to find a self-help group or a shelter, or simply move, so that you can find the best life for… you*

100% spot-on. If people in general acted primarily out of love for one another and love for country, the two sides wouldn't be so far apart.

*disclaimer* No offense intended for any citizen of any other country, for you have the right to be as patriotic as I am. This is simply for all the hotheads that surround me during the 4 year political cycle going on in America right now. For the record: I probably didn't vote for the same person you did, does that bother you?

Got a feeling we voted the same. Which, by my estimation, makes two of us.
