so...

forty seven things to destroy the week,
and the "out" that I have is broken...

my muse is silent;
there is no escape,
there is no vent,
only this building pressure
and a forced attempt to kick in the door.

I want to be on the edge,
but take out the "the"
and I'm just teetering over.

sound the alarm!

and get away before...

eruption.

...harder on myself than others would be, but am I harder on myself than I *should* be? I think not... somehow, I feel the lack of rigidity (if that's even a word) is what has gotten me to this... place. I'm beginning to think that just giving in... merely existing... rather than struggling for "life"... could be... better.
