Skittles and I were pumped about our birthdays, and was just a given that we’d go out on Saturday night. After hours of makeup and changing clothes, she picked me up at my apartment. Jumping into her car, I wished her a Happy Birthday! and buckled my seatbelt. Heading towards D-town I was thrilled. My birthday was in six hours, and I wanted to get fucked up.
Arriving in D-town, I knew something crazy was going to happen tonight. Travis’s house was the place to be every weekend, and that’s where we were headed. We rounded the corner before the cul-de-sac and we could already see that the party had started. There were cars parked in a circle and music coming from the house. As we walked up to the door, it flew open towards us, and Travis and Brandon screamed as they grabbed us and pulled us into the house. Immediately the fun began. Troy opened his mini-fridge and pulled out his bottle of Blue UV and liter of lemonade. He threw me a plastic cup and poured ¾ of it full of Blue UV, then the rest he filled with lemonade.
“Drink up Smash!” he said enthusiastically. He patted my back once and puckered his lips making a smooch sound. I smiled and swallowed down my drink. The glass was empty four minutes later.
As more and more people showed up, so did the booze. Travis’s mom brought an endless supply of Blue UV and so she wanted to drink with us. I hit the shot glass on the table and I said,
“In 20 minutes it’s my mutha fuckin’ birthday!!” and Skittles followed with a less heard “And today’s mine!” Travis’s mom was surprised and she poured my shot glass full of that delicious blue liquid. The glass overflowed onto her hands and all over the bar, so she set the bottle down as she began to lick the bar.
“That’s alcohol abuse!! We don’t waste this shit around here, you hear? And just how old are you honey?!” When I told her it was my 15th birthday in just minutes she hesitated a second before she poured another shot, handed it to me, and screamed,
“Fuck it! I don’t really even care. Ya’ll are safe here. Drink up!”
Shot after shot with Travis’s mom, my head began to sway, and my eyes began to blink in slow motion. I swayed as I turned my head to see the most beautiful human I’d ever seen drunk before. I introduced myself to him he told me his name was Dax. He followed me as I walked outside. I walked down Travis’s walkway and into the side of his yard, knowing that Dax’s eyes were not navigating, but staring right at me. I sat in the dampened grass and told him how it was my birthday, and eventually he got to saying he played guitar. No question’s asked, after I heard that I didn’t care anymore, he was perfect. And I, was perfectly drunk. He sat next to me and asked why I was so far away, but at this point in my life, I wasn’t used to guys even showing the smallest bit of interest in me. He widened his legs and I moved between them, sitting with my back to his chest, staring at the stars.
“So it’s your birthday, huh?”
“Yepppp.” I replied.
“How about a birthday kiss?” I didn’t even have to answer him. He came right for me, and I felt as if I were a princess, being treated exactly the way I wanted to be treated, being with a prince who told me so. Although we had only met that night, we engaged in drunken conversation, anyway, it’s easier to say something to someone when you’re drunk. As we talked and kissed and flirted, I almost want to say that I drunkenly loved him. We half-crawled, half-stumbled our way to Travis’s back porch where I rested on my back looking up at stars, ignoring the feeling in my stomach for Dax. He lowered himself on top of me, both fully clothed, and probably to drunk to take them off anyhow. His lips were like none other, a new experience of passionate and badass at once. But my stomach again began to rumble and I whined almost silently for Dax to get off. I couldn’t see straight and my mind was in jumbles, I was dizzy but I wanted to keep kissing the cute boy throwing himself all over me. I shoved him off me at once, grasped tightly onto the rail of Travis’s porch, and the Blue UV made it’s comeback. Ah, friendly, friendly Blue UV.
