i was broken,
you were gone
i was fallen,
you held on
i was lonely,
 not alone
you saw through me,
 on the phone
i met you slowly,
you knew me quick
you saw me crying,
inside,
so thick
you knew my sadness,
saw my pain
caught my tears,
 that fell like rain
my hands were broken,
mind was dirty
no words spoken,
 you werent thirty

i was with
another man
still a girl, with contraband
you saw my sins,
 my filthy lies
a disgusting love,
 and all my cries

you found me kneeling,
skin so bare
with dirt upon me,
and a stinking soul
you lifted me up,
out of this cold

i knew no real love,
certainly no truth
within the madness,
i found you
