I hide behind the shadows
of the great word weavers of today
Enchanted and amazed
on their gift of wordplay

every word sucks me in
ever line, sharp edged,
bedazzling my frail mind
in the world they have pledged

i escape to their world
of beauty and death
of self-inflicted pain
and their lists of regrets

i spent all my life
to be one with the words
i spent most my days
to compose the perfect verse

but i am just a silly dreamer
in this magical word-woven lace
a pebble among diamonds
that the trolls have misplaced
