you look tired.
beat and spent.
you haven't slept last
night. did my conscience
keep you up, while i
laid my lies to rest?

i don't want to be just
another nightmare.
and i don't want to stop
being the dream.
you're my dream. always.
we can't hurt each other
there.

but i ask you,
when we wake up
can we keep the tragedies
in a box, our little
trinkets locked beneath the
stairway?

it's gonna be a whole new day.
