i can taste you, down to your
ragged bones when you pull
me by my hair and steal my
breath and hold it there between
our lips. we lock, we kiss.
it feels too short to be endless,
when i'm wanting more.
more of this, more of us.
i chain my heart on your words,
your flattery.

could you be more sublime?

when even your tired sigh,
at the end of a long day
says you love me.
what else could i ask for?

i close my eyes and breathe.
i love you, too.
