she's got her father's eyes.
weeping along the pathway
of stars. she does not
believe in wishing wells
and such. but she knows
every fairytale there is
in the land. of sirens,
and cinders and magic lamps.

she broke the silence
in her mind when she closed
her eyes,
images, vague behind
those lids. And the face that
owns those eyes similar
to hers fade away every
single time.

Everybody said
she's got her father's eyes.
And everytime she hears
this, she closes her own,
hoping to remember.
