i've never opened my heart so willingly,
laying everything on the line,
i told you my trust was hard to gain,
yet i gave it to you without fear
it's not that i'm reckless,
i know that if i get into this
there's a possibility of getting hurt.
i chose you, with my eyes locked on yours.
looking deep into you soul,
and finding out that behind those
laced words that flutter from
behind your tongue is the truth.
i prayed for someone like you.

 and here you are,
whispering secrets in my ear
telling me that i own you.
blowing kisses to the wind
from a thousand miles away.
and the way they touch my lips,
i am a dying ember under your breath.
i scoffed at forever until you laid
it in front of me with that
cockeyed smile of yours
that always leaves mum.

we are not perfect,
i never prayed for perfection
nor a romance novel kind
of love. i prayed for reality
and everything that it will bring.
yours is a love worth fighting for.

it's either your hand in mine forever,
or a last breath at a love lost.
either way, i'll die loving you.

it is beautiful, but it feels like tragedy waits behind every word. maybe you planned it that way because you expect it? i dunno...either way it reads lyrically wonderful
