she said she's
beyond repair,
i believed her
as i watched her
stitch herself
back into place
with her eyes closed.

and her eyeballs
were placed
carefully in a box
to keep them from
rolling down the
muddy street
where she chose to live,
under the shade
of a maple tree.

i had no idea
what broke her,

but she said she's
beyond repair,
and i believed her.

This was very enjoyable! I like the imagination!

nice... the abstraction does more justice to the sentiment than any level of detail could evoke... the repetition is effective, and the suggestion, if I may take my interpretive liberties, that sometime what is seen is felt even more through the act of seeing... I read this from the dislocated yet cherished eyes, as I read it allegorically.

beyond repair indeed...in a grotesque repose, and the chilling emptiness of the poem does reflect that...very cool write ate...
