you spin your words around me
like an unbreakable golden thread
and your verses strangle me
and mark me with stinging red lines
to make me eternally yours

i do not resist.
i stand here watching you spin
meticulously and i can't
help but feel like a masterpiece
in the making,
an artist's beloved.

spin more,
spin those golden thread
around me tight.
i don't mind the sting, i love it.
make me beautiful like
the sun

because what i want
is your eyes on me
as i shine on you
and blind you with your own
making.

and then i know
your eyes will always be mine.

there is a comfort in this piece. a closeness i vaguely remember. i do feel warm and nostalgic reading it. the tone of love comes out strongly, or is it fascination? probably both i suppose. bravo.
