Come, drink the wine sitting atop the table
and let's celebrate the wonder that is us!
We have been born into the world
clueless and undeniably angelic
in the eyes of our mothers.
Come, take a bite of this feast
and let's recognize the burdens we had
lived through, only to be faced with
a hundred others and we won't know
what the hell we're going to do.
Which makes me think, it's okay to
give up sometimes.
Everyone thinks that we will be
the hope of the world.
oh, such expectations
can sometimes do nothing
but drag us down
beneath the soil where
we will eventually end up
then we try to live up to them
because we were conceived with innate pride
and selfishness that
we couldn't even realize
that we all have our limits.
Blame it all on forced ambition.
We couldn't even be ourselves
anymore due to the fact that
"everyone can speak their own mind
and tell you what they think of you"
and we'll be too busy trying to please "everyone"
we often forget what makes us happy.
c",)
and here you are, reading yet another
nonsense of mine that i had just written out of the blue
because I was bored and had nothing to do.
I guess I'm just not busy and I have called it a
day from trying to please anyone.
