This is talking about friends drifting apart. Some parts are weak I know, but I hope that the overall poem is good.
walking down the corridor,
i notice you,
others could swear we were strangers,
you grant me no acknowledgement of my presence.
i don't want to be just another face in the hall,
i want things to be the way the way they were before,
we used to be so close,
we used to be best friends,
what happend?
i don't want to be just another face in the hall.
i try to say "hi,"
but you don't notice,
you brush past me in your hurry,
to get to your next class,
i smile and wave,
but you are distracted,
by a new friend's face,
that you just saw,
i don't want to be just another face in the hall,
i want things to be the way they were before,
we used to be so close,
we used to be best friends,
what happend?
i don't want to be just another face in the hall.
i say "hello,"
you are right next to me,
it's impossible for you to not notice,
you reply with a simple "hi,"
but your voice is distant,
your eyes cold,
and your manner distracted,
you turn a corner,
and we part.
i don't want to be just another face in the hall,
i want things to be the way they were before,
we used to be so close,
we used to be best friends,
what happend?
i don't want to be just another face in the hall.
