So where are those days
we used to spend in that café
flicking cigarettes onto the street

I got through those days
in my own destructive way
not seeing what was falling apart in front of me

These days are with those mistakes
Seven years just washed away
Like teardrops in the rain

And throughout the years
we've filled a sea of fears
an ocean that ran so deep

You sat and watched a friend
become a stranger and in the end
neither of us could rely on me

It's clear now and I can see
all that's left is memories
and even they fade like teardrops in the rain
