The darkness is as if a blanket of night
washed overthe world

The only things to see are the fireflies
 and stars in the sky

Not even the moon shines her light
 apon us this eve

So dark that I can't see
 my goals and dreams

So dark that no one can shine
a light for me to see

Then like a wish come true
the sun raises in the east

Like a fire growing stronger with
every minute that goes by

This light is called hope
And I am so greatful to see it
