Nervous Habit

dont laugh at me.

you know
i always chew on one of my fingers
when im nervous
or scared
or alone
just because it happens to be my left thumb this time
doesnt make me immature
it just means
i wont have a thumbnail in the morning
and ill have to chew on my index finger

but dont worry;
by the time i get through both hands
my left thumbnail will have grown
and i can keep starting over
until you decide to come back.
