There was a time when I could do nothing without you
When I could sleep only to dream of you
When I could write only to tell of you
There was a time when it was always raining without you
My stars could glow only to shine on you
My sun could light only a path for you

I would breathe for you
And bleed for you
Anything for you
I thought you knew

Well that was then
That was when you mattered
When I needed you just to exist
But I don't need you
I don't have to whisper to you in every word I write

I don't have to

Forget it
I'll sit here and make this hand write something else
Something happy, that doesn't even mention you
Hell, I'll write about rainbows and butterflies

Here it is
World premiere of something new
How'd it go?
Wait.
Damn, I did it again.
