Young man wants to be famous
Little girl wants to be a star
One day they'll set this town afire
Drive fast through crowded streets
Leaving all the pain behind
Bright lights and big city
One day he wants to drive fast cars
She'll dance upon the stage
Where people will toss red roses
Scream and cheer her name
Some day they will both
have all that they desire
With stardom comes the price
Lose your freedom
Build the facade
Sex, Money, Drugs
Who knows .. maybe even God
White lines and green grass
Party like the devil
Just to escape
Spend another bill
Take another pill
Fall into a tub of water
Color the floor red
One may make it
The other end up dead
Young man wants to be famous
Little girl wants to be a star
For one moment in time
Just to live
Just to have all that they desire
