I am in you, and you are in me
Seperate, yet of the same energy
Become a god to serve a goddess
Fall like grapes from the vine
to drink the nectar of life

Drunken thoughts consume this soul
Dreaming of a land where everything
starts from nothing, and nothing is everything
Blood of the ancients speak wisdom
Sing me a song, Whistle upon the winds of time

Inside I hear your call
Upon my face I feel your breath
Beating in my heart, the drums resound
Tribal images of men wielding scrolls
Dance around flames flickering in the night

Black dragons rising high into the midnight sky
Talons sharpened as silver swords
Ready to slice mankinds flesh from bone
Night eyes glaring, Piercing all who would fall pray

Together we are united, of the same energy
Seperate we shall fall upon the alter of black dragons
Drunken thoughts consume this soul
But my ears are not deaf, and I hear your call

Interesting stuff, this takes me back very much to when I was deeply involved with Anne Rice novels. I also read a lot of fantasy genre stuff too, so yeah, fun poem for me. Lots of recalled images I know well. :)
