As I lay here on the floor
I can't help but wonder whats this life for?
Why am I here; what good can i do
As I lay here on this floor
I can't help but wonder if i go
would I be missed if i left
would they be proud if i did
what good could i do
dressed in army shoes
with gun in hand and blade in other
Dressed in army greens.
could i really keep the peace
to my ears comes the answer
I'll stand before my father and mother
I'll defend these people, this state, this country...
I will go, I can do good with that rifle
Only fears when i go
will I be missed...
will they be proud...
will I be remembered...

I liked this alot. It was good to hear your doubts. Never hide them in fear, they can only grow bigger then. Pull them out in the open and conclude, like you have. This contains alot in a few words. Very good.
