There you were in dirty rags
ragged heart beat beating still
the cruel weight lifted off of you
In summers eve reborn anew
And there I was to take your sins
I ate them whole holding you back
from nothing less than than angel wings
And other rudimentary things
But travesties invested well
Are future hopes hoping may pass
from one swift beat into another
bearing the fruit of virgin mothers
Bent on broken, blackened wings
Of demon seeds seething with hate
But those that bear a likeness to
Will haunt the very depths of you
And strive you will to best them all
Hoping, praying, pray the night
Holds feelings too heavy to lift away
That they may stay another day
For with these all we may proceed
To beg ourselves selfishly not
to hold each other ever tight
That we will make it through this night
And toil away in mortal coils
ever for forever sleep
Slumber I must once fell from grace
And journey no more in death's embrace
