Hand in hand we walked the night away,
too long for a smile and wave...too short for a romance
yet,
somehow,

Your smile stole my heart, and nothing has ever taken my breath so fast as your lips on mine

Hearts beating as one entertwined the heartstrings pulled and danced the night away under the stars

The rain played on your face and you looked into my eyes; I saw a glimpse of heaven for what seemed an eternity

...but just as quick our hands broke grasp and pulled apart to opposite sides of one world
yet,
somehow,

I know deep down that this was not the last to be seen or felt, that I would move heaven and earth myself to be near her once more.

Call it fate, or destiny, just call it my salvation and know that for once I was truly happy, and now above all else, I have seen love

This is beautiful... It seems you've found the true meaning behind taking the love you receive and making it last an eternity. Very nicely written.
