The blood and the glass,
And the way it tasted after you kissed me,
I can’t forget those things.
Every memory, constrained and blue;
You’d wrap your veins around my throat
Until I felt your heartbeat..
Until you'd choke the life out of me.
Cos loving you meant losing oxygen.
Taped mouths
And lungs collapsing.
You never wanted me to forget
That time was running out;
That we were wearing down..
…And I couldn’t leave;
That you were losing your grip,
And I still couldn’t breathe.
