Your shoes are so big,
But I tie them on tight and try to act natural.
They know I don’t belong,
The suit doesn’t fit, and the smile does shine like yours.
Constant comparisons,
Always in your shadow, even when I’m in the spotlight.
I know they’re all waiting,
To watch me stumble and trip over my own two feet.
And you wont be there to catch me,
Right before I hit rock bottom.

It's about expectations..about never measuring up to your parents perception of what you 'should be'.
