We’ve all felt it I’m sure,
That tiny empty void
That used to hold love.
That has only grown wider having lost them.
We remember sweet memories,
Of smiles and laughter.
But they fade away,
And return to their corner of your mind.
To remember is to go on loving,
And to forget is just denial.
They shall never truly leave you,
And that thought will comfort you through lonely nights.
Pictures become shrines,
To the way things use to be.
Still frames of moments in time,
When you knew heaven might really exist.
