Make me laugh again,
To forget about these tears.
Take me away for a few hours,
To make my day worth living.
Help me even when I pretend I don’t want it.
No matter how much I need it.
Stand up for me,
When no one else can find the courage to.
Tell me I’m beautiful when I feel ugly,
Even if I don’t believe you.
Let me be strong for you,
Even if you don’t need me to.
Don’t leave me like all the others.
They never meant as much as you.
And when our late night talks fall upon what if’s
And you ask where I’d be without you.
I don’t know if I’d even be at all.
So don’t lose me now,
When I’ve come so far.
Just make me laugh again.
