My old house is now a den of misery,
my new house is just bits and pieces.
At least I have a place to rest my head,
but memories stick to my feet
as I shuffle from threshold to threshold.
And can I say that even with all this love,
my hands still shake and I can feel a storm.
Even with all this love, I have bitter snakes
that make a home in my heart.

i wonder about you, as you seem no longer here present at this site... this piece is achingly direct and illuminates a dark feeling most of us can't name...
