Don't darken my doorway,
with your jagged-edged smile
reflecting every eclipse of the sun.
Don't haunt my windows,
with your why's and your taunts.
I can hide safely in the hall,
but only for so long.
I need to clean out this mess,
and all I can feel
is the draining of my blood.

So you can darken my doorway,
and rob the room of love,
and you can sink me
with your diamond sharp teeth,
and cast a pale along the walls.
But I will live like a ghost,
before I will let you think you've won.

this would make a lovely song... it's dark, and almost... i want to say wicked, but not really. it's the smile a girl gives when she knows she has the control after all... and she'll use it.
