This one here,
this red-bellied woman,
I swear she has snakes in her hair,
in her thick skull.
Surely her tongue is forked.
A worthy adversary.
I have the battle plan
drawn out before me.
An army formed out of indignation
is swelling, crawling up my backbone.
It's hard not to grin like a fat cat.
It's hard not to click my claws together.
It's hard not to just reach out and rip her apart.
This one here,
I must be patient,
must bide my time,
stroke my words with velvet.
I will have her head,
and give it to the one I love.
