Let me just find the time
that the clocks have stolen from me,
and then we can set out on the road
where the pavement will shrink
from our heated thoughts of destruction.
And you can name the route,
and I will walk at your side,
spinning strategies and schemes,
the webs of dire plots
like the spider monster I am,
and you can echo me,
or make your own rules,
as long as we leave
lakes of fire in our wake.

this is the kind of writing i always strive for. concise, but packed with ideas and images. a little sinister, and very well constructed.
