Despite all hell or loveliness,
you must remember.
You must remember that
every word I write,
every note I sing,
every clever thing I say...
is all for you.

Now put this away,
and maybe scratch a note
on your heart,
that you can rub with your fingers
when the world is killing gravity
and your laugh is a tin echo.

This chore of inspiration
hopefully never wearies you.
I ask nothing but that you are,
and then I can be.
As long as you walk the world somewhere,
so shall I.

quite romantical and sensual, like not much cotton on, cuddling under a comforter while the rain pounds on an aluminum roof
