"With the distance of time, we find ourselves debating the causes of conflict and the course we have followed.
This war is more than a clash of arms, it's a decisive idealogical struggle" - George W. Bush

Where achievement was once rewarded,
Now has become another man's job
To reveal you as they wish,
But their revelation you are not
What you want is nothing you ever got

For every person born another vessel of intellect is destroyed
Shot down by another overpriced commercial
Which is as inconsequential as the expression it avoids

And in all this Damocles' space beneath
Where one party promises what they never mean
Is a distance, you cannot deny

The Pendulum Timepiece takes your very life
And freedom is hanging in the balance as it glides

'Someone must be right' is the nature of the current song
Those who are taking, will be empty when everything is gone
Cause what gets you off labels you as wrong

For every right passed, another freedom is annulled
Said to protect the nature of good deeds
But another war erupts and another religion is born

Gliding along the razor edge
Burned by the nuclear warfare
Caused from the big bombs

And behind the destruction they bring
There is a soul alive and breathing
But its heartbeat respects no one,
Dead or alive

The Pendulum, like Judas, takes our very life
Existence is hanging in the balance as it slices
 - It Glides
And - We Ride!

Here in the days where it's natural to accept half empty glasses
All you see is the despicable nature of disgusting litigations...

Love is no longer justified,
People would much rather lust
Due to the empty promises,
And false praises of God
Life's like a casino,
Money will buy out the odds

But will that money buy you forgiveness?
And will it matter when it becomes worthless
 - All thanks to the greed of you?

Cause one day soon everyone will find
 - That the evil that has taken it's toll
Was never the answer for your sickening soul

Now there is a hole beneath
Where you cursed and were so mean
Is a gentle soul, scarred for all time

The Pendulum Timepiece has taken all life
Love, it took, as it swings from side to side

I hope that you die!

Interesting read... but I'd find it far more interesting if you'd attribute your opening line/quote to the person that said it, how bout it? -SP
