I lay in your bed of lies every night
bare in-between satin sheets
knowing the only thing covering me whole is
..fabricated truths..
nightmares swathed delicately beneath laced covers
crushed thoughts silky smooth linger over me like torn-lovers
These sheets that so thinly draw the line amid love and hate
..yet..
Hold us together. So strong.
Hold me together. So fragile.
Cushioning my falls as I wake from my dreams
only to lull me back tenderly..
Just so i can fall all over again..
I lay wrapped in my pink satin
That lays shrouded in tears and feint black lace..
My pink satin.
And I know it will never be silk...
